Just over four hundred years ago the Mayflower made its historic sea voyage to America. The Box is an amazing new installation and museum in Plymouth with an ongoing exhibition to commemorate this journey. There are also giant figureheads from.old ships and other maritime history. Book ahead as most of the exhibition is free but entrance tickets are limited:
A three day celebration of this charming fishing town. Attractions include live music, cooking demonstrations, an arts and crafts market, vintage car rally, crabbing competitions and heritage crafts exhibitions.

Bank Holiday Monday – a children’s day with free family activities.The Brixham Heritage Sailing Regatta with the traditional red-sailed trawlers also takes place during BrixFest from May 29-30.
You can have a bird’s eye view of this from the top of Vane Tower. To get closer simply walk down to Haldon harbour directly at the bottom of the hill.
An exhibition of original prints inspired by the journey taken by the Mayflower 400 years ago from 40 artists. One copy of each print will be held by the Cape Cod Museum of Art in its archive to commemorate this event.

Swim in the waters of Goodrington Sands Beach (1500m), then cycle around Torbay’s challenging hilly course (22km). Finish with a coast run towards Brixham (6km)
